Jenny Ford & Mark Daley
Our Story
How we met:
Mark and I met at work in 2005. He acted to be a shy and would walk passed me like he was really busy and in a hurry. Every time he passed me he would shout "get back to work"! I had no idea who this guy was and why he was barking orders at me, so finally one day I passed him sitting on a closed unit doing nothing so I then shouted "get back to work"! From that point we got to talking getting to know one another and 2 months later we moved in together.
Our Engagement:
On August 25th, 2008. Mark decided he was going to leave work early because he was not feeling well. He then called me later that afternoon and said "you really need to come home". I figured he was being whimpy and wanted someone to take care of him so I told him that I had a meeting to go to, but I would be home after it was over. I started doing some other things at work outside of the office and when I returned, I had 6 missed calls from him. I was soo worried, so I called him back. When I did, he said "you need to come home now, there is something wrong with the dog"! (people who know me know that I dont have kids, so my dog is my child.) I asked what was wrong and he said that he couldn't tell me over the phone and I could hear her crying in the back ground. This dog doesnt even bark if the door bell rings. I over head paged my boss wile she was in an important meeting and said "sorry i gotta go something is wrong with Kaylee". She said OMG.. call me when you get there and let us know if she is okay. I drove home with my flashers on and called mark to tell him to meet me at the vet and he said no we have to go together cause someone has to be there to hold her. When I arrived at the house I ran into the house and said where is she? He pointed over the kennel. When I opened it, there was a brand new puppy! (Kaylee was just fine) He wanted to surprise me with my new dog cause I said kaylee needed to have a friend. I was soo happy and mad at the same time. I set down and grabbed the new puppy out of the kennel and was telling him to never scare me like that again. He then knelt down in front of me and proposed. Mark's first idea was to have the new puppy wear the ring around his neck and surpise me with it. So I got engaged and I got a new dog. :)
